IPTV Evangelist Announces IPTV Top 50 of 2006

Leading Broadband News, Analysis and Video Blogging Site Reveals Results of First-Ever List of Key Players Changing the Face of IPTV and Online Video

One Lucky Nominator to Receive Free Case of Wine from WineLibrary TV

NEW YORK, NY, December 18, 2006 - Leading broadband, analysis and video blogging site IPTV Evangelist (www.iptvevangelist.com) today revealed the results of the IPTV Top 50 of 2006, its list of the key players who are changing the face of IPTV and online video.

Sponsored by WineLibrary TV and culled from hundreds of reader submissions, the list is the first of its kind to put names to one of the most dynamic and white-hot trends of Web 2.0. The list includes such figures as IPTV content creators Amanda Condon, Amanda across America; Brian Conley, Alive in Baghdad; reporters and analysts Brian Dolan, FierceIPTV; Stephen Saunders, LightReading.com; Tom Steinert-Threlkeld, Multichannel News; executives Jeremy Allaire, BrightCove; John Chambers, Cisco; Serge Tchuruk, Alcatel; Ramu Potarazu, Broadstream; Chad Hurley, YouTube.

“It truly is a diverse list,” said Gilbert B. Hammer, editor and founder of IPTV Evangelist. “When we began accepting submissions in November, we had no idea that we’d receive such an enthusiastic response from the industry. While we realize that the results are no means scientific, we nonetheless think that it was important to highlight the full range of personalities, skill sets and contributions, from the executive suite on down to the production suite.”

The full list of winners may be viewed at www.iptvevangelist.com/top50. Anyone who thinks that they were unjustly omitted should contact the IPTV Evangelist editorial team at editors@iptvevangelist.com. Also, the site owners would like to congratulate everyone named and to thank everyone who contributed, especially Anastasia Wylie, who nominated Mike Hudack of Blip.TV (http://blip.tv/). She is the winner of our random drawing who will receive a free case of wine courtesy of WineLibrary TV (http://tv.winelibrary.com/).
