ROO and Tribal Fusion to Bring Pre-Roll Ads with Market’s First Contextual Online Video Application

NEW YORK, NY, June 28, 2007 – ROO Group (OTCBB: RGRP), a global leader in online video solutions for content providers, advertisers and Web sites, today announced that it is partnering with Tribal Fusion, the online advertising network and leading site-representation company owned by Exponential, on the development of a first-of-its-kind contextual video advertising product.

When the online video advertising platform launches later this year over Tribal Fusion’s ad network—which serves over 20 billion monthly impressions and reaches more than 120 million U.S. consumers per month—it will forever alter how consumers view pre-roll advertising and dramatically improve advertisers’ ability to grow their brands and sales channels via the Web.

When ROO and Tribal Fusion launch the product, visitors to millions of sites will suddenly find clicking through to a video link a far more compelling proposition than ever before. A visitor to a newspaper site reading an article about indie bands, for example, will be presented with videos about the music they’re actually reading about and then have the opportunity to purchase the music featured in the video from a partner advertiser. It’s a model that’s far more responsive to consumers’ needs and more profitable for both publishers and advertisers.

The ROO and Tribal Fusion partnership will provide publishers with an innovative way of personalizing content to individual interests and a powerful means of engaging users on their sites. It’s the companies’ innovative response to what their ad and publisher partners have long been asking for and one that will generate the highest level of advertising revenue possible by ensuring highly relevant video ads reach the most receptive audiences.

The key to making the application work, however, is having enough high-quality content to match up against the nearly limitless number of topics covered in Web sites. Tribal Fusion’s decision to partner with ROO for this application was driven, according to company executives, by the breadth, depth and quality of the ROO content library, which is widely recognized as the best in the industry.

OpenTV Provides Content Validation Platform For Japan's TV Portal - “ACTVILA”

OpenTV

San Francisco, Calif., June 13, 2007 - OpenTV Corp. (NASDAQ GM: OPTV), a leading provider of solutions for the delivery of digital and interactive television, today announced availability of the OpenTV Integrated Browser™ validation platform on Windows® XP for content providers of TVPS’s (Japan TV Portal Service) “acTVila”.

OpenTV’s browser has been used widely by Matsushita (MEI) and also JVC’s digital TVs, and has been established as the de facto standard for MEI’s Tnavi™ browser. TVPS, which has consolidated TV portals such as Tnavi, launched the acTVila portal in February 2007 as a common TV portal. OpenTV Integrated Browser, designed for the Japanese interactive television market in conjunction with MEI, has now been enhanced to support this new and strategic industry portal. Because it meets the browser specifications set by Networked Digital Television, which is referenced by TVPS, OpenTV is able to give content providers a standard browser development platform that can be used to create and validate their own content. OpenTV Integrated Browser validation platform is developed for Windows for accessibility and ease of use on the PC. This is provided free of charge by OpenTV on request and will be available on June 21, 2007.

"Successful commercial deployment of TVPS’s acTVila portal is dependent on how its content can be viewed correctly across different sets of TVs. This new tool now allows content providers to do that validation using the familiar Windows XP system,” said Arata Hirao, General Manager of OpenTV Japan K.K. “OpenTV’s Integrated Browser is already used as a standard browser in the majority of digital TV browsers in the market. By extending its support to acTVila and by providing its validation platform, OpenTV has achieved a new level of leadership in digital TV portal market. We will continue to enhance our browser platform as digital TV moves forward.”

The acTVila portal is already available on major brands of digital TVs such as MEI, Sony, Sharp, JVC, Eizo, and Funai, and it is expected that other home appliance manufacturers will release their own acTVila-compliant TVs in 2007 to 2008.
