WOWZA Media Server Supporting Irish VoIP Provider

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 17, 2007 - Wowza Media Systems, an emerging streaming server software leader, announced today that Blueface, Ltd. the leading Irish VoIP provider, has chosen Wowza Media Server Pro to support its expansion to audio and video streaming services in Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Blueface already uses Wowza Media Server Pro to stream the top national talk radio program, NewsTalk.ie, and will be expanding to support more radio broadcasters, launching an Internet TV channel with both live and on-demand programs, and a user-generated video portal. In addition, Blueface is taking advantage of the extensibility of the Wowza Pro architecture to create new services for its VoIP subscribers.

“In Wowza Media Server Pro we found a Flash server with the scalability, functionality, and, equally important, the economics to support a business we confidently expect to reach millions of people,” says Feargal Brady, CEO of Blueface. “What’s especially interesting for us is Wowza’s ability to re-stream MP3 to Flash players from the SHOUTcast feeds commonly used by radio broadcasters. This is a perfect fit with our plan to enable broadcasters to use Flash, the most accessible format on the Internet, to stream their content to much larger audiences.”

“We’re very pleased by Blueface’s adoption of Wowza Media Server Pro,” said David Stubenvoll, CEO and co-founder of Wowza Media Systems. “The many uses they’re finding for the product, beyond its base functionality of Flash streaming, shows the innovation and leadership our company brings to streaming media with the versatile architecture of Wowza Pro.”

For Your Imagination - Brings Comedian Patrice Oneal On-Line

For Your Imagination Launches Comedy Web Series

Comedian Patrice Oneal goes online to avoid censorship, maintain creative control

NEW YORK, July 17, 2007 – For Your Imagination, an original online video programming company, announced today that it is producing and distributing a complete 24-episode season of a new comedy series, “The Patrice Oneal Show – Coming Soon!” The exclusive production features weekly behind-the-scenes looks at a fictitious TV show starring popular comedian Patrice Oneal and is available only via the Web. Unlike other new-media companies, For Your Imagination handles all aspects of its original series including in-house studio production and marketing, and the management of the show’s primary site www.patriceoneal.com.

“Online programming has created an uninhibited arena for talent to showcase their abilities,” said Paul Kontonis, co-founder and CEO of For Your Imagination. “Our role is to provide the talent with everything they need from development to distribution, while keeping their vision for their shows intact. For Patrice, the Web is a perfect outlet and we’re thrilled to partner with him on a full season of ‘The Patrice Oneal Show – Coming Soon!’ and help him bring his comedy to an even larger audience.”

Oneal is known for his cringe-inducing humor, often making his audience uncomfortable to get laughs. He has performed stand-up comedy for HBO, Showtime and Comedy Central specials, hosted VH1’s Web Junk, and he frequently performs at popular comedy clubs such as Caroline’s and Comedy Cellar in New York. He has been a part of Opie and Anthony’s Traveling Virus Comedy Tour for the past two years and has appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and The Late Show with David Letterman. Oneal is a regular guest on XM Satellite Radio’s Opie and Anthony program and was recently named “Comedian of the Week” by MySpace.

Along with Patrice, “The Patrice Oneal Show – Coming Soon!” series features an ensemble cast of seasoned comedians and actors: Vondecarlo Brown, Bryan Kennedy, Dante Nero, Harris Stanton and Wil Sylvince. While each episode has a theme, the cast relies on improvisational comedy rather than a set script.

Since the weekly episodic Web show premiered seven weeks ago, it has more than 90,000 views while the video podcast has been downloaded approximately 60,000 times. As the show continues its rapid growth, For Your Imagination will consider additional media outlets for the show including broadcast television. The show’s website was developed on Squarespace – a subscription-based, friction-free solution for managing feature rich websites and blogs together in the same platform. The first seven episodes are available at http://www.patriceoneal.com or via podcast on iTunes and are syndicated on YouTube, Veoh, blip.tv, and Democracy, the free and open source Internet TV platform.

Rhozet Carbon Coder video transcoding used for Live Earth concert series

Rhozet_logo.jpg

SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Rhozet Corporation's
Carbon Coder video transcoding solutuion was used by Los Angeles-based
production company Incited Media to deliver video-on-demand presentation of
last weekend's Live Earth concert series. Concerts were held July 7, 2007
in Hamburg, Johannesburg, London, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai,
Sydney and Tokyo, and through the around-the-clock efforts of Incited
Media's production team performances of more than 100 music artists,
including Black Eyed Peas, Madonna, The Police and Kayne West, were
available immediately to a worldwide audience at Live Earth

Incited Media was hired to provide webcast management services for Live
Earth by Control Room, the leading global provider of live digital
entertainment and the company in charge of producing the event. To help
Incited Media bring on-demand viewing to people around the globe as soon as
possible, the company used the Rhozet Carbon Server for immediate
transcoding of concert footage. Incited Media used Rhozet's Carbon Server
to control a network of Carbon Coder transcoding nodes. This transcoding
"farm" enabled Incited Media to create multiple video-on-demand files at
the fastest possible speed. Incited Media production staff was on site at
the event and will rapidly encode the live broadcast into high-quality
Flash and Windows Media streams at a variety of data rates at over four
times faster than real-time.

"Rhozet makes it possible for us to deliver the multiple format support
and fast turnaround for on-demand viewing that live events on this scale
require," said Ben Rolling, co-founder of Incited Video. "VOD production
that used to take a few days is now accomplished in a few hours with
Rhozet's Carbon technology."

Live Earth used the global reach of music to engage people on a mass
scale to combat climate crisis. Live Earth was a 24-hour, seven-continent
concert series that brought together more than 100 music artists and two
billion people to trigger a global movement to solve the climate crisis.
Live Earth reached this worldwide audience through an unprecedented global
media architecture covering all media platforms - TV, radio, Internet and
wireless channels. Live Earth marks the beginning of a multi-year campaign
led by the Alliance for Climate Protection, The Climate Group and other
international organizations to drive individuals, corporations and
governments to take action to solve global warming.

"We're proud to have played even a small part in such an important
worldwide event," said David Trescot, CEO of Rhozet.

Rhozet's Carbon Server manages any number of Carbon Coder transcoding
engines to greatly accelerate the conversion of media from one format to
another. Carbon Server allows for automated processing of high-volume
transcoding tasks, managing job distribution, job prioritization, load
balancing, FTP transfer, status monitoring, and job notification. All
interaction with the server software is through an administrative Web
interface that can be conveniently accessed from remote machines.
