IXIA To Demonstrate 100 GbE Proof-of-Concept and New PBT and Peer-to-Peer Solutions for IP Networks At NXTCOMM08

Calabasas, Calif. -- (June 17, 2008) - Ixia (Nasdaq: XXIA), a leading, global provider of IP performance test systems, invites visitors to the NXTcomm08 trade show in Las Vegas to view Ixia's initial implementation of 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) line-rate traffic generation and analysis and to see Ixia Carrier Ethernet test solutions in action on the show floor. Ixia representatives will also speak at two panels during the show. See details, below.

100 GbE demonstration

Where: Infinera's booth (#5607). A more in-depth private demonstration is available by appointment at room MSL4704.

What: Avago Technologies, Infinera and Ixia are collaborating on live demonstrations that will send 100 Gigabit Ethernet (100 GbE) traffic over a long-haul network from Infinera's booth. Ixia will demonstrate an initial implementation of 100 GbE line-rate traffic generation and analysis. The traffic will be handed off to a 100 GbE interface on the Infinera DTN DWDM transport system. The 100 GbE signal is then switched and transported by the DTN through a long-haul DWDM network to Los Angeles, where it will be looped back and then transported back to the Infinera booth in Las Vegas.

When: June 17 and 18, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 19, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Carrier Ethernet

Where: Nortel's Booth (#2051), Exhibit Hall A.

What: Nortel and key industry solutions providers will launch the Carrier Ethernet Ecosystem at the show and, for the first time, demonstrate "How PBT can seamlessly operate a multivendor environment." Ixia will participate with its PBT/PBB-TE solution.

When: June 17 and 18, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 19, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Matisse Networks

Where: Booth SU4511

What: A live demonstration of its EtherBurst Packet WDM system using Ixia's IxNetworkâ„¢ testing suite to simulate a combined traffic consisting of 60 Gbps triple-play (voice, video and data) and high-bandwidth low-latency business Ethernet services.

When: June 17 and 18, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 19, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
