San Francisco, CA - July 21, 2008 - Revision3, the TV network for the Internet generation, has promoted Ron Richards to Director of Marketing and Product Management. Richards first joined the company in October 2007 to manage the Revision3 Web program, a key component to the network's overall strategy. He is also a producer and co-host of iFanboy, a TV program distributed by Revision3, which focuses on comic books, comic book culture and comic book creators.
In his new role, Richards will lead all marketing efforts for the company, driving advertising, social media and public relations efforts for the Revision3 network and internet television shows. He will also continue overseeing the content and development of the Revision3 website, www.revision3.com.
"Ron's television production, technical development and marketing expertise combined with his awesome ability to create exciting website experiences for our audience will help drive Revision3's evolution of video programming," says Jim Louderback, CEO, Revision3.
In 2007, Richards began his partnership with Revision3 when the network launched the Internet TV extension of iFanboy (iFanboy.com), Richards' hit comic book website and audio podcast. Both the video version and an audio cast of iFanboy, launched in 2005, are among the most-downloaded comic book Internet shows available and were the only comic book shows featured on the iTunes Best of 2007 list.
Simultaneously, Richards established himself as a pioneering Internet marketer and product manager. He worked at Starwood Hotels & Resorts where he ran the marketing and website programs for hotel brands such as the Westin, Sheraton and W Hotels. His early career began during the first Internet boom as manager of website builds for Fortune 500 companies.
Richards received his bachelor's degree in television and media management from Ithaca College.
