SAN DIEGO, Calif., September 22, 2009 -- VMIX (www.vmix.com), a leading online video platform provider, today announced they have signed an agreement to provide comprehensive video solutions for 116 GAP Broadcasting (www.gapbroadcasting.com) radio station websites.
EVP of Digital Media for GAP Broadcasting Vic Savelli said that VMIX's ability to deliver premium, sponsorable content, coupled with the company's extensive experience working with broadcast clients, made them the obvious choice.
"We need a total solution that will help us grow local audiences, increase user engagement and boost advertising revenues," said Savelli. "We believe that VMIX brings both the technology and know-how needed to help us accomplish those goals through the distribution of our original video content, listener generated content, and premium content."
Mike Glickenhaus, President and CEO of VMIX, said that, increasingly, broadcast clients are calling for complete, end-to-end and easy-to-use video solutions that maximize their online revenue streams. "VMIX answers that call directly, with premium, highly sponsorable content. We also bring precise insight on how to maximize engagement by incorporating listener generated content and focused monetization strategies."
Glickenhaus went on to say "GAP Broadcasting is recognized across the radio industry as being a top operator of local radio stations and an innovator that has found early success with its digital initiatives. We are thrilled to have them as a partner joining our more than 400 media and entertainment industry sites. "Our goal is to be a true business and media partner. We look forward to working in that capacity with George Laughlin, President at GAP Central, Erik Hellum, President GAP West, Jim Donahoe, President GAP East and Vic Savelli, EVP of Digital Media for GAP Broadcasting--helping them grow their audiences and increasing their ad revenues with online video."
Glickenhaus also added that radio broadcasters interested learning more about what VMIX has to offer, can find him and other representatives at the 2009 NAB Radio Show, September 23-25th in Philadelphia.
